We are the Futura Alpina Alpine architecture firm and manifest the quintessence of innovation, extravagance and technical brilliance. Our office is not only a purveyor of the most extraordinary and bold architectural masterpieces, but also a temple of architectural theory and practice.
Our vision belongs to the future and strives to expand the boundaries of what is possible. We have set ourselves the task of nothing less than redefining the conventional concepts of Alpine architecture. The classic, charming style of alpine huts is undergoing a radical transformation in our house. We are setting new standards and replacing old-fashioned, ground-level living with towering alpine hut-style skyscrapers, which we affectionately call “Alpine Towers”.
Our approach is based on the belief that architecture is not just an expression of aesthetics and functionality, but has a far-reaching influence on human emotions, social interactions and our relationship with the environment. Following this view, we transform the existing homeliness and cosiness of the alpine huts into vertical space, which opens up not only the ground but also the sky as a homely space. Our buildings are fusions of the latest material technology, eco-efficiency and groundbreaking design.
It is important to our office that the built environment is designed to be magnificent or close to nature. We are committed to buildings that either create an opulent and luxurious appearance through elaborate ornamentation and rich materials - like our magnificent high-rise buildings in the high mountains - or whose formal design is based on natural beauty, like our mushroom-shaped houses on harmoniously draw their aesthetics from nature itself.
We are pioneers and visionaries who see the high mountains not just as a landscape for skiing, hiking or mountaineering, but as a place for exceptional architecture and creative solutions. Classic alpine huts are charming, no question about it, but we at Futura Alpina Alpen-Architekturbüro are firmly convinced that the time is ripe for a reinterpretation.
